BIRDOLUMOJ — cinema BIRDLIGHTS goes company

Teleport BIRDOLUMOJ – short movie cinema

Supported by Dorina Landar & Babilonto Karu
Visitor Group Auroro-Amiko

Since a few days my cinema has also been running on Auroro. How did this happen?

During a dance party on the pier I told about my cinema BIRDLIGHTS at Seogyeo Station. And I asked Dorina & Babilonto whether they could imagine such a cinema on their island. So they visited my cinema on Seogyeo. As result, I was allowed to move into a building in the harbor town of Auroro that was just vacant. Dorina has furnished & decorated the projection room. Babilonto has supported me set up the technology. I have named the new branch BIRDOLUMOJ; this is Esperanto for BIRDLIGHTS.

At the harbor promenade you will find this poster. Not dried yet. Touching it, you get teleported right to the cinema's entrance.

Approaching from the interior of the island, the cinema is located at the entrance of the town, right on the main avenue. On the façade you get known what movies are current & coming.

In the foyer, my reliable employee is offering for you: Infocard (German & English), Group Membership, Teleportlink. For suggestions & complaints please send me an intrnal message or notecard.

Group membership is not required. But if you are a member of the group Auroro-Amiko, you will receive the new program regularly. In BIRDOLUMOJ the same program runs as in BIRDLIGHTS. The fortnightly program change is entered  in my public calendar.

The elevator takes you to the projection room. Have a seat – press the switch on the screen on the bottom right – pick a movie!

I look forward to your visit. I wish you good entertainment!

calendar entry — dance mood on Auroro

In the Second Life there are some dance & music events I like to join in. A few of them I am putting into my calendar and introduce to you. They meet regularly. Music and atmosphere are teasing. I meet nice people there, even new friends. — Take a try!

I have already reported on the party evenings on Auroro. They take place every Thursday at 11 a.m. (slt) and I like to visit them again and again. That's why I also enter them in my calendar.

I would like to add that they take place at different places depending on the season. But don't worry, Dorina & Babilonto care on the land settings. That means you always arrive in the right place.

Now in winter they take place in the ballroom. In the photo you can see me having landed before the stairway. I just have to walk upstairs. I am hearing that DJane Anja is really rocking today. I'm looking forward to that!

Being member in the Visitor Group I am regularly informed about events.

Music and dance takes place on Thursdays on the pier at 11:00 am. (SLT) (20:00 MEZ)

Angus, Anja, Danny, they talk German, and each brings own program to the people. They stream music themed like Neue Deutsche Welle and Rock'n'Roll and Pop of the 1970s and Musical. They are nice, and they even fulfill unusual music requests! (Of course, I care that my request suits the theme of the evening.)

I always like to be here. And I persuade friends to come along. For example, you see me together with my Amayuma on one of the photos. We particularly like the cheerful mood among nice people. Also the seaside climate contributes to this, characterizing this island.

Come, and join in: Teleport to Auroro

Auroro is one of my favorite destinations in Second Life. I just like the pleasant atmosphere near the sea.

The landing point is on the avenue of the town. Here is a visitor's pavilion furnished. I also find shops, a café, even a ballroom.

There is also a hovering cube. When I touch it, I can become member of the Visitor Group. Incidentally, that's free. Being member of this group I am regularly informed about events.

By the water are the main pier, a jetty, a complete airfield. There is a lot to discover here!

On Auroro one can also live for rent.

At the city wall there is a board. There are teleport marks attached which lead to some places on Auroro.

Well, there are several ways to explore the island. First, I can just take a walk. This way I always discover the most.

In the harbor I also can take one of the boats. Here you see me taking part in a tour. This leads from the main pier along the west coast. Then it's a way along the south coast. The ship stops in between several times. More than once I just get out and enjoy the surroundings. The ship is back soon.

At the airfield various aircraft are offered. Some fly on a fixed route. Some I can control myself. This time I decide for the chic helicopter.

Inside the island there is also a hot air balloon and a glider. Just try it!

Dorina and Babilonto create the most from their own hands. They barely buy anything on the Second Life Marketplace. The other way around, they offer a lot of their creations in the shop, as well on the Marketplace. I find the love of design gives this island its charm. On Auroro I also like to share a walk with my girlfriends.

This bell tower is great. When I touch it, the bells sound such loud that you hear them on the whole island. Are you all awake now?

This church I must visit. It is about the heart, I consider.

Certainly, I have not dscovered everything yet. Will you help me?

Auroro — Esperanto values your language

We all are humans, am I right? We all share the same wishes, dreams, fears, needs. So why are we separated by borders and languages?

Well, on Auroro I meet language like Hungarian, German, English, Russian. I think I do not know all of them yet. But on this island the different languages are not an obstacle, but a treasure.

And above all, Esperanto is promoted!

Is Esperanto inhabitants’ first language? Is it official language on Auroro? Not quite, I would say. Let me try to explain.

In fact, Dorina and Babilonto welcome any language on Auroro. They attach great importance to this! Years ago, when Babilonto came to Second Life, Esperanto was his drive. And still is. In Second Life he met Dorina, and they became a couple. Together they created the island of Auroro and set up their home here. Dorina being teacher in her real life, they both support Esperanto now.

Esperanto is a constructed language. Vocabulary and grammar are formed from the languages of the peoples. The goal is to create possibly a common world language.

I imagine that the languages serve as a construction set. Chatting simply in my own tongue, I am already contributing to the development of Esperanto. – A nice thought!

So I do not have to learn Esperanto to find my way around here. I simply chat my own language. It takes only goodwill. Additionally, there are translation aids in the Second Life, and they are easy to use.

And if I want to learn and talk Esperanto myself, I simply ask Dorina and Babilonto. They are nice and will help me.

Homaro havas multajn lingvojn, sed nur unu koron.
